Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Stary your journey today

Cloud Infrastructure Services

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offers compute, storage and networking resources on demand for businesses that they can use to run their workload on. It eliminates the need to own any hardware, but the client is still responsible for updates, security, uptime, and maintenance.

These infrastructure resources provided by IaaS vendors can be provisioned and managed by customers almost instantly over the internet. AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure all offer IaaS on a pay-as-you-go basis.

With Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), there is no need to own or manage servers, storage or networks. PaaS delivers a framework for developers to easily deploy their code on the vendors’ infrastructure. This fastens the time to market, enhances security and automation.

With Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), a customer pays for using software that is written, hosted and managed by a third party. In addition to being easy to set up and use, SaaS products eliminate the need to write own software, which saves time and resources.

Businesses can also have their digital assets or hardware held in their own dedicated space. This is known as running on-premise or on-site. In this way, the business will own and manage all their infrastructure resources.

What are the benefits of IaaS?

With IaaS, customers no longer have to bear the cost and complexity of buying and owning their own infrastructure to run their workloads, reducing the capital expenditure.

With the right service agreement, a cloud service provider can provide your applications and data with greater security than you could supply yourself.

Its flexibility and scalability can increase business continuity.

At esynergy, we have a Cloud & Platforms practice to build robust, secure and scalable platform solutions and as-a-service models including IaaS for our clients on various cloud providers like AWS, GCP and Microsoft Azure. The three vendors take up a combined market share of 70% and esynergy are proud to have strong partnerships with all the three top partners in the industry.

Why do businesses choose public cloud services?

Reduced Cost of Ownership

Often businesses struggle with cost and labour to run and maintain servers, failing to meet business expectations. Ofqual, one of our clients, was experiencing difficulty managing legacy applications on their own infrastructure. In addition to re-platforming their applications to run on Azure cloud, esynergy improved the deployment strategies and automation, making their systems more manageable, secure and reducing total cost of ownership.

Scalability

Since resources can be deployed instantly, it offers rapid scaling of your workload based on traffic. esynergy’s auto-scaling solution for HMPO enabled a secure system to scale rapidly based on traffic levels. The system was built following industry standard Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and met all AWS security requirements.

Faster TTM (time to market)

Businesses in competitive markets or teams trying to deliver proof of concepts to understand market trends will find IaaS solutions help fasten the process. A UK legal organisation has already benefited from esynergy’s expertise in this area. The company required a search tool that would enable lawyers to navigate case material quickly, and make necessary reductions efficiently and accurately, as the current system was outdated and the company was losing money, wasting time and fostering frustration among its enormous staff of legal professionals. The client was running on a strict time schedule and at esynergy, we developed and delivered the solution for them using a wide range of AI services on Azure cloud following industry standard DevOps best practises.

At esynergy, we help our clients in analysing, planning and delivering IaaS solutions, bringing maximal value and impact to our customers.
