Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier name: esynergy solutions limited
Publication date: 28 March 2025
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
esynergy has achieved Net Zero emissions and is committed to continuing to improve its Net Negative position.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: July 2021 – June 2022
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.
Our financial year runs from July to June; we have taken our baseline reading from July 2021 to June 2022 to ensure accurate reporting and this includes scope 1, 2 and 3.
Baseline year emissions:
EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
Scope 1 | 0.3 |
Scope 2 | 23.8 |
Scope 3 (Included Sources) | 29.1 |
Total Emissions | 53.2 |
Current Emissions Reporting
Reporting Year: 2023/2024
EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
Scope 1 | 0 tonnes |
Scope 2 | 8.1 tonnes |
Scope 3 (Included Sources) | 29.8 tonnes |
Total Emissions | 37.9 tonnes |
Emissions reduction targets
According to our annual outsourced Carbon Usage Assessment, with the aid of Carbon Offsetting via our involvement with Ecologi, esynergy have achieved Net Zero emissions already and are currently Net Negative. However, we are committed to continuing to decrease our internal carbon emissions while also improving our Net Negative position.
Although we are set for significant growth in the next few years, we still project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 35tCO2e by 2030. This would be a reduction of 7.65%
Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the June 2022 baseline.
• We have engaged with Fleet Alliance to provide our staff with the ability to purchase a new car via the electric car scheme.
• We have moved to a new office in a more modern energy efficient building that has a far better EPC rating, LED lighting and insulation.
• We have limited the amount of national and international travel where possible by encouraging the use of virtual meetings and car sharing whenever possible.
• We have ceased to supply bottled water in our offices and have purchased a water dispenser for our staff.
• We now have only one printer/photocopier in our office and its use is always discouraged. We produce almost no paper waste now.
• We supply recycling bins for food, paper, cardboard, tins and general waste.
• We ensure all WEEE waste is collected and correctly disposed of.
The carbon emission reduction achieved by these initiatives equates to 15.3 tCO2e reduction against the 2022 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
In addition to office-based changes, esynergy has worked with Ecologic and been involved in various international environmental and carbon reducing projects since June 2022:
Previous Projects we have invested in:
• Wind Power project in Thailand; This project will avoid 131,883 tCO2e from entering our atmosphere each year of its operation, which equates to a total of 1,318,830 tCO2e over 10 years!
• Protecting the Tambopata-Bahuaja Biodiversity Reserve in Peru; Situated near the Bolivian border in the Madre de Dios region in Peru, this project takes place in the Natural Protected Areas (NPAs) of Tambopata National Reserve and will avoid 457,750 tCO2e from entering our atmosphere each year, and will run for 20 years in total
• Solar power project in Vietnam; This project is situated in the Vinh Hao commune, and will generate electricity using photovoltaic technology, which transforms sunlight into electricity. The project is located on around 60ha of salt farm, and will generate 83,750MWh of power annually. Over the course of the 10-year crediting period, the project will avoid 704,110tCO2e from being emitted, by replacing energy in the grid that would otherwise have been generated from the combustion of fossil fuels.
Current Projects we are investing in:
• Protection of the Mataven fores in Colombia – The Matavén REDD+ project protects 1,150,212hectares of tropical forest in the Indigenous Reservation of the Matavén Forest preventing over 3 million tonnes of CO2e emissions per year.
• Avoiding Methane emissions in Brazil – Macaúbas Landfill Gas Project is a landfill gas collection, use and flare project in Brazil. he total emission reductions achieved in the current monitoring phase is 102,580 tCO2e.
• Wind power in Mexico – This project will prevent the emissions of 245,015 tonnes CO2e on average every year that it is operational, which will be for at least 20 years.
• Mangrove planting in Irregelw Milato, Mozambique – Reforestation Project
• Mangrove planting in Kandrany, Madagascar– Reforestation Project
• Reforsetation in Mussuquelane, Mozambique– Reforestation Project

esynergy has achieved the following through our funding of the above projects:
• 4,218 trees planted
• 329.92tCO2e avoided
Future carbon reduction initiatives
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
• Becoming certified for ISO14001 and ISO/IEC 20000 as soon as possible.• Continuing to engage with Ecologic and expanding our funding into UK based projects in the coming year.
• Achieving greater uptake for our electric car scheme in the coming year.
• Further reducing our levels of recycling and consumables waste in the office in the coming year
