Vanquis Bank, part of the Provident Financial Group is one of the leading providers of credit cards to people in the under-served market and helps people to establish or rebuild credit history. Along with their customers, Vanquis Bank embarked on a digital journey and for that, it was important to boost their internal capabilities around digital and technology skills.
Vanquis Bank partnered with eSynergy to boost their employer brand in that regard and attract and engage more talent as a result of it. The engagement kicked off with the development of Vanquis Bank’s story as an technology employer of choice, complemented by a stakeholder workshops around the implementation and use of this story for execution. Once this plan was in place, a range of activities followed; from webinars where senior stakeholders showcased work that was done internally to an external ideathon to speaking opportunities with communities like the .NET user group. Over 15,000 candidates were reached and more than 20 internal employees got involved.
Throughout the project, eSynergy monitored and measured all activities and provided metrics around talent pipeline and engagement to Vanquis Bank on a regular basis. Demonstrable ROI and cost savings were made through direct sourcing from the community programme.
